Teams:

Competition commences in the first weekend of Term 2. Some grades will play Queen’s Birthday weekend and some grades will play the first Saturday of the July Holidays. Please check the draws for updates. The season concludes at the end of August.

Uniform

ALL PLAYERS are supplied with a jersey which needs to be returned at the end of the season. The 1st XV are supplied with a jersey, shorts, blazer and tie.  All other teams are supplied with a jersey, socks and shorts.

Players must get their uniform from their coach at the beginning of the season or from the Sports Office, all gear will be signed for and must be returned at the end of the season.

Commitment

If your child is selected to play in a school rugby team we ask for your help to ensure that they remain committed to training and playing with the team for the whole season. It is not fair to the rest of the team if team members drop out or do not attend trainings.  We will form teams with sufficient players to allow for some absences due to illness, injury or other valid reasons. 

This means that there will be times when your child will be on the side-line for part of a game.  This is part of team sport although every effort is made to give all players game time. If your child is absent from training without good reason or has poor discipline s/he may be side-lined more than normal. Please discuss this matter with your child to ensure that s/he has an enjoyable season.

Fees

Fees include: North Harbour Rugby Union Individual Insurance Cost, Team Entry Fee, Uniform.

Please pay at the Accounts Office in B Block. If you have any concerns regarding fee payment, please feel free to contact Paul Hewson on 4810141 ext 749.

ALL PLAYERS must check the Sports Noticeboard and the noticeboard in the gymnasium regularly for information on game times, practice times and any other news relating to rugby. You can also contact your manager/coach or, at school, Mr Dudley or Mr Hewson for any information.

Daily notices read out at Form Time and available for viewing on line and the Northcote College app are also vital sources of information – players, coaches and referees please take the time to check these every day during the season.
