Locks lost for a great cause
We had an absolute blast at yesterday’s Shave For A Cure event – and have raised over $8,291 … so far!
A dozen students (and Mr Martin) bravely shaved their hair off to remember loved ones and support cancer patients. Every day eight people will discover they have blood cancer – and the money raised will help find more effective treatments to save lives, and make sure people with cancer get the support they need to get through.
Everyone involved should be really proud of themselves and the selflessness it takes to brave this challenge. They will have seriously made a difference in people's lives who are affected by Leukaemia and Blood Cancer.
So far we’ve raised $8,291.31 – including $134 raised in an auction of generously donated vouchers.
If you’d like to back this incredible cause, there’s still time to donate online at https://shaveforacure.co.nz/t/northcotecollege
A huge shout out to everyone who took part and raised money.
