Join our Matariki celebrations

MATARIKI CELEBRATION – THURS 20 JUNE – 6PM-8PM 

Nau mai ki te Pō Whakanui i a Matariki, Te Mātahi o Tau 2024

We welcome you all to a Celebration Evening for Matariki, the Māori New Year 2024.

We send a warm invitation students, families, and our wider community to come and celebrate Matariki.

We’ve got an amazing evening lined up, featuring:

• Performances by students from Birkenhead Primary, Willow Park Primary, Northcote Intermediate, and Northcote College
• Raranga (weaving) workshop and arts and crafts activities for Tamariki
• Beautiful Maori art, Matariki earrings, and delicious baked goods for sale  
• $10 hangi, $2 fried bread, $2 soup, $1 drinks

Please dress warmly and bring cash for kai and purchases

A reminder that school will be closed for the Matariki Public Holiday on Friday 28 June
