2nd XI cricket victory over Kelston

The 2nd XI Boys Cricket team had their first win of 2024 against Kelston Boys on Saturday 17 February at Northcote. It is is first time we have had a 2nd XI since 2021 and the team is a composite team, with a Glenfield College student Travis Atkinson playing a leading role. 

Sent in by Kelston, Northcote made 145-7 off their 20 overs, Travis Atkinson 26, Joe Croll (12GRI) 21, Luca Ninzigamiye (11MFL) 16, Luke Buckley (11MPH) 14 and Nate Munn (11MFL) 11, all chipped in with useful runs.

In reply Kelston were bowled out for 123 off 17.2 overs. Nate Munn (11MFL) produced the outstanding bowling figures of 4 for 17 and was ably supported by Travis Atkinson who took 3 for 4, and Rahil Nathoo (12BNF) who took 1 for 8 off 3 overs. Rahil also took 4 catches as Northcote won an exciting game by 22 runs.
