2022 T1 wk 00 back to school at red

The 2002 new school year

We’ve been gearing up to welcome all our new and returning students next week. Year 9 students start on Tuesday 1 February, and Years 10-13 on Wednesday 2 February.

Schools are open and teaching will be in person at the school, not online – so students are expected to attend.

We have taken steps to keep our students, staff, parents, whanau and community as safe as possible – with strict Covid protocols in place. Key information is listed below, and full details have been emailed to parents and caregivers.

The move to Red level means we’ve also made some changes to arrangements for the start of the school year.

FIRST DAY YEAR 9 – Tuesday 1 February

On Tuesday we will not be able to hold the customary powhiri for Year 9s – but will have staggered start times for different form classes, and will welcome each group with a whakatau. You will have received an email to let you know the start time for your child’s form class. Students should gather outside Gate 1 on Kauri Glen Road (the main entrance) 5 minutes before their allocated time and wait to be welcomed in. Parents are asked to remain outside the school gates.

FIRST DAY YEARS 10-13 – Wednesday 2 February

Please go straight to your form class at 9.30am.
